We?ve been reporting on a squabble involving the copyright bar. Some practitioners are unhappy with a policy submission the Canadian Bar Association filed before Parliament to comment on the proposed Copyright Modernization Act (Bill C-11).
But what about the legislation itself? The bill cleared second reading. This week it was before a Parliament committee for a ?clause-by-clause? review.
Russell McCormond reported on OpenMedia.ca on Tuesday that this review has now ended, and that the bill is now set to return to the House of Commons for third reading, then after that, the Senate.
