Golf conditioning equipment could be a variety of items; but what really is golf fitness gear?
Youd be shocked to find out its not highly-priced; and will not be necessarily in a fitness center or wellness club both.
Yes?there are golf ?machines? for stretching and strength building which can be properly over one thousand pounds, but are definitely not necessary.
Any time you believe in the golfing swing, it is a dynamic motion completed in space together with your whole physique. So any kind of training or golf physical fitness gear really should be capable of accommodate this.
Ive designed all my plans, dvds and publications to make use of the beneath equipment for one cause. Comfort. That will conserve you time to complete everything you really would like to do. Play golf!
First of all, a pair of hand weights (dumbbells) are inexpensive, transportable and can be employed for dozens of golf-specific workout routines. They dont need to be heavy or cumbersome. You would be shocked what a 5 to 8 pound pair of dumbbells can accomplish using the right golfing workout routines.
Next around the checklist of golf conditioning equipment is tubing. You might have observed it in content articles, on the tv or in a catalog. Exercise tubing is very portable, incredibly affordable and in addition is usually made use of to mimic several phases in the golfing swing, but with resistance.
I personally use exercise tubing in all of my applications, with all of my individual clientele and in my personal golfing workout routines. It can provide you with one heck of a workout in case you have the best resistance. These bands come in different tensions from gentle to extra heavy.
A different bit of golf physical fitness gear is a stability ball. It really is the large beach ball seeking factor that is certainly utilized in workplaces to take a seat on, in quite a few exercise lessons, at most health clubs and all the physical therapy clinics.
Why? Simply because once more it really is portable, inexpensive and extremely flexible. Undertaking golfing exercises around the ball integrate core stabilization, balance and stability. All critical aspects in a mechanically audio golfing swing.
Plus the final bit of golfing conditioning equipment is usually a weighted medication ball is the . You may recall them from various decades back as the huge leather balls that the outdated health and fitness fanatics used to strengthen strength and power.
Properly now they are again! They may be utilized in each sport-specific energy program in existence. It is possible to do so many sport-like actions with them and so they weigh as a lot as 20 kilos, so you could picture the benefit from the power standpoint.
I have a few my bread-and-butter workouts I take advantage of in all my programs that incorporate the weighted medicine ball and theyre incredibly effective.
So there you have got it! Three or four items of affordable and portable golf health gear.

In immersion foreign language learning, adults attain, retain native speaker brain pattern
Thursday, March 29, 2012
A first-of-its kind series of brain studies shows how an adult learning a foreign language can come to use the same brain mechanisms as a native speaker. The research also demonstrates that the kind of exposure you have to the language can determine whether you achieve native-language brain processing, and that learning under immersion conditions may be more effective in reaching this goal than typical classroom training. The research also suggests that the brain consolidates knowledge of the foreign language as time goes on, much like it does when a person learns to ride a bike or play a musical instrument.
The latest in this series of studies was published online in today's PLoS ONE by researchers from Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
"In the last few years, research has begun to suggest that adults learning a foreign language can come to rely on the same brain mechanisms as native speakers of a language, and that this might be true even for those parts of a foreign language that are particularly difficult to learn, such as its grammar," explains Michael Ullman, Ph.D., a professor of neuroscience at GUMC and senior investigator of the studies. "We confirmed this in our studies."
However, even if it's true that foreign language learners might be able to achieve native-like processing of grammar, Ullman says it has not at all been clear just how they can get there that is, what exactly allows a learner to attain native-like processing.
Ullman and lead author Kara Morgan-Short, Ph.D., from the University of Illinois at Chicago, first tested whether the conditions under which a person learns a foreign language matter. Specifically, is the type of foreign language exposure typically found in classrooms, with a lot of explanations about the grammar, more or less beneficial than the type of exposure in an immersion situation, in which there are no such explanations, but simply many language examples?
"Surprisingly, previous studies have found that the type of exposure typically found in classrooms leads to better learning than that typically found in immersion. However, no studies have looked at the actual brain mechanisms after different types of exposure," Morgan-Short says. Also, because a foreign language is so slow to learn, previous studies have not examined the outcomes of different types of exposure beyond the early stages of learning, since it would take far too long to wait until participants reached high proficiency, she says.
To get around this problem, the scientists came up with a clever solution. Rather than teach people a full foreign language, they taught them a very small one, with only 13 words, which referred to the pieces and moves of a computer game. The language itself was made-up, and its grammar was constructed so that it was like that of other natural languages, but differed from the participants' native language English in important respects, such as its grammatical structure.
The scientists found that after a few days, adults had indeed reached high proficiency in the language, whether they had undergone classroom- or immersion-like training. However, measures of brain processing showed that different types of training led to different brain mechanisms.
"Only the immersion training led to full native-like brain processing of grammar," Ullman says. "So if you learn a language you can come to use native language brain processes, but you may need immersion rather than classroom exposure." (These results were published online Aug. 23, 2011 in the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience.)
For the study published in PLoS ONE, the researchers asked another very interesting question: What happens after you've reached high proficiency in a foreign language, if you're not regularly exposed to it? Do you lose the use of any native-language brain mechanisms that you've attained? Many learners do not always have ongoing exposure, which makes this is a critical question, Ullman says.
So, without having warned their research participants beforehand, the researchers called them an average of five months later, and asked them to come back for another round of brain scanning. Because the language was made-up, the scientists were sure that the participants hadn't had any exposure to it during this entire time.
The researchers weren't sure what they would find, since this was the first study examining the brain after such a period of no exposure. However, previous studies testing only proficiency changes found, not surprisingly, that foreign language learners generally did worse after such periods, so the scientists assumed that the brain would also become less native-like.
"To our surprise, the participants actually became more native like in their brain processing of grammar," Ullman says. "And this was true for both the classroom and immersion training groups, though it was still the case that only the immersion group showed full native-like processing."
Ullman believes that, over time, memory of the language was "consolidated" in the brain, probably by the same mechanisms that also underlie native language. He says this process is probably similar to the consolidation of many other skills that a person might learn, such as learning to ride a bike or play a musical instrument.
Interestingly, the participants showed neither improvements nor loss of proficiency during the same five month period, even as their brains became more native like, Ullman says. The scientists are uncertain why this might be, though it is possible that proficiency changes might in fact have been observed with more precise measures, or that improvements had occurred some time after training but then were gradually lost in the absence of practice during the five months.
Ullman says that even without any observed changes in proficiency, the brain changes are important. "Native language brain mechanisms are clearly well suited to language, so attaining their use is a critical achievement for foreign language learners. We suspect that this should lead to improved retention of the language as well as higher proficiency over time."

A wounded protester gets assistance following clashes with riot policemen during a demonstration in Barcelona on March 29, 2012 on a national strike day.
By msnbc.com news services
Flag-waving Spanish workers livid over labor reforms they see as flagrantly pro-business blocked traffic Thursday, forming boisterous picket lines outside wholesale markets and bus garages, as part of a nationwide strike.
Unions claimed massive participation in the 24-hour stoppage protesting what they claim to be the latest dose of bitter medicine Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy's conservative government has prescribed to appease European Union overseers and jittery investors watching Spain's debt grow and its GDP shrink.
Police arrested a number of protesters in Madrid, while small-scale violence flared in Barcelona, Spain's second city. Tourists were locked out of the Alhambra, a 14th-century Moorish palace in the southern city of Granada which is one of Europe's great cultural monuments.
The unions demanded a "gesture" from the government to scale back the reforms, warning they could cause more unrest from May 1.
The government quickly said no, and downplayed the impact of the strike, which failed to bring the country to a standstill. "There is no stopping on the path to reform," Labor Minister Fatima Banez said.
In fact, the government will on Friday serve up even more austerity pain with a 2012 budget to feature tens of billions of euros (dollars) in deficit-reduction measures.
PhotoBlog: Workers strike in Spain filling streets and closing businesses
The cuts are designed to help Spain lower its deficit to within EU limits and calm the international investors who determine the country's borrowing costs in debt markets ? and therefore have a lot of say in whether Spain will follow Greece, Ireland and Portugal in needing a bailout.
There were no reports of significant violence in Thursday's demonstration. A total of 58 people were detained and nine were injured in scuffles as the strike got under way a minute after midnight, Interior Ministry official Cristina Diaz said.
Unions are challenging a conservative government not yet 100 days old, protesting changes to labor market rules long regarded as among Europe's most rigid. Among other things the changes make it cheaper and easier for companies to lay people off and let them cut their wages unilaterally.
On the Gran Via, one of the Spanish capital's main commercial strips, a group of about 500 whistle-blowing picketers marched slowly, blocking traffic for about an hour. Police and helmeted riot police watched from the sidelines.
As the group made its way down the boulevard, many merchants ? such as jewelers and clothing retailers ? pulled down their metal shutters or locked their front doors.
One protester, Angel Andrino, 31, said he was laid off a day after the labor reforms were approved in a decree last month. The government argues that while the reforms might hurt now, they will create jobs in the future. Spain is by official estimates already back in recession.
Andrino lives with his parents and brother, the latter the only one to be employed, with a part-time job.
"We are going through a really hard time, suffering," he said. "The rights that our parents and grandparents fought for are being wiped away without the public being consulted."
General Workers Union Secretary General Candido Mendez put average participation at midday at 77 percent but said that it was 97 percent in industry and construction. "This strike has been an unquestionable success," said Mendez.
Some statistics, however, suggested the strike had not brought the country to a standstill.
Electricity consumption ? a measure of industrial and commercial activity ? was down by 17 percent at mid-morning, according to the Interior Ministry. That is slightly less than during the last general strike in 2010, which was deemed only partially successful.
Investors are worried about prospects for continued, widespread social unrest of the kind seen in bailed-out Greece. But management professor Jose Ramon Pin of IESE Business School said this will not happen in Spain because people reluctantly accept that the country needs a radical economic makeover.
"This country is in no mood for taking to the streets," Pin said.
One of the strike's most noticeable effects was on public transportation, with unions guaranteeing only around 30 percent of normal service at rush hour times.
"We're offering the government a chance to start a different path (of reform) in search of wider consensus," Ignacio Fernandez Toxo, head of Spain's largest union Comisiones Obreras said. "If not there will be rising social conflict."
?The main airline, Iberia, canceled 65 percent of its flights.
By mid-morning, 402 flights had been canceled, National airport operator AENA said. Minimum services decreed by law ensured that 1,675 flights would operate ? less than half of the average daily amount of more than 4,500 flights.

Telephone Engineers who Understand Small Businesses
We are living in the knowledge age, when communication is my way through business. For your small business achievement it requires to not just have a very products that customers want, but also can grow it to showcase by making contact with customers and suppliers efficiently and effectively.
There are many methods to communicate in today?s world, and much is claimed concerning the power of your internet and email to get marketing message when in front of customers and negotiate with suppliers. Nevertheless, there isn't anything like personal contact, along with the telephone is still the most powerful methods of communicating person-to-person.
So, while a small business thinks about the problem about its web marketing campaign, it must am certain hard about how well its telephone system meets its needs. It may well pay to call in experienced telephone engineers to think about the present system and recommend changes that can improve how good it truely does work for a growing company.
Telephone engineers do far more than fix faulty lines. They could recommend systems which could transform the proportions of any company?s telephone communications. You will discover systems around that happen to be designed specifically for tiny and growing businesses.
The Meridian Norstar phone system, by way of example, is probably the brands of Nortel Corporation, generally known as Meridian Phones, with a reputation for developing high quality business phone systems that happen to be all to easy to grow combined with the needs on the company.
The Norstar Compact Plus is often a flexible, cost-effective business telephone system that's perfect for the little business user, providing them a platform to leverage new technology simply because it emerges and so that it is very easy to adapt because needs on the business change.
Another popular choice on the range will be the Norstar Modular Plus system, that provides even more ability to grow in keeping with a prosperous business. Aimed at companies using more than 16 telephone lines, it might support about 80 analogue lines or 128 extensions for digital systems.
The Modular Plus Analogue option allows each and every call to come back into one central number before being forwarded to internal extension numbers. The Modular Plus Digital option can grant every extension an instantaneous line for external calls.
With technology constantly in place just like the Meridian Norstar phone system, it isn't difficult for just a growing business to focus on its goods and services, as opposed to getting mixed up using the details of the infrastructure that supports its business. With telephone engineers like Freestyle Communications, who can install and keep the Meridian Norstar Telephone Engineer Oxford system, the communications infrastructure is often left in safe hands, while the company focusses on driving strategy and growth.
Whilst the Meridian Norstar telephone system is actually a popular option for many small companies, it isn't the sole system that telephone engineers like Freestyle Communications can advise on. Once you get the communications experts, they will be in the position to think about the specific requirements of your respective business and recommend the correct phone systems and hardware to meet up with your preferences, within the actual and the future. It pays to call on the experts.

Researchers identify genetic markers of drug sensitivity in cancer cells
In the largest study of its kind, researchers have profiled genetic changes in cancer with drug sensitivity in order to develop a personalised approach to cancer treatments. The study is published in Nature on Thursday 29 March 2012.
The team uncovered hundreds of associations between mutations in cancer genes and sensitivity to anticancer drugs. One of the key responses the team found was that cells from a childhood bone cancer, Ewing's sarcoma, respond to a drug that is currently used in the treatment of breast and ovarian cancers. The lowered toxicity of this treatment may mean it is a safer alternative therapy for children and young adults with this aggressive cancer.
There is an intimate relationship between the way a drug works and the genetic changes present in cancers. This study found that sensitivity to most anti-cancer drugs is influenced by mutations in cancer genes and establishes the utility of using large-scale studies to identify these associations and build them into improved patient treatment.
"Our key focus is to find how to use cancer therapeutics in the most effective way by correctly targeting patients that are most likely to respond to a specific therapy," explains Dr Mathew Garnett, first author from the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. "We studied how genetic changes in a panel of >600 cancer cell lines effects responses to 130 anti-cancer drugs, making it the largest study of this type to date."
The team identified biological markers of drug sensitivity to a broad range of cancer drugs. Most of the cancer genes analysed, including those that are not known directs targets of the drugs tested, were associated with either sensitivity or resistance to at least one of the drugs analysed.
"Our research has taken us down unknown paths to find associations that are completely novel," says Dr Cyril Benes, senior author from Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Centre. "We have identified hundreds of associations, many of which we still don't fully understand. We identified a novel indication for the use of PARP inhibitors, anti-cancer drugs currently used to treat breast and ovarian cancers, for the treatment of Ewing's sarcoma."
Ewing's sarcoma is a cancer of children and young adults with a 15% five-year survival rate in patients where the cancer has spread or they have relapsed after chemotherapy. The use of PARP inhibitors could represent a new treatment option for Ewing's sarcoma patients and these compounds will now be tested in clinical trials to assess their therapeutic benefit.
"Advances in next-generation sequencing technologies are already being translated into the large-scale detection of cancer gene mutations in the clinic," says Dr Ultan McDermott, senior author from the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. "There is a compelling need to identify, in a systematic fashion, whether observed mutations affect the likelihood of a patient's response to a given drug treatment.
We have therefore developed a unique online open-access resource for the research and medical community that can be used to optimize the clinical application of cancer drugs as well as the design of clinical trials of investigational compounds being developed as treatments."
The team hopes their open-access database will be an important resource for the cancer research community and which will ultimately lead to improved treatments for patients. This research program is a unique Wellcome Trust funded 5-year collaboration between The Cancer Genome Project at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the Center for Molecular Therapeutics, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.
"Our work is helping to move cancer therapeutics away from the conventional tissue-based treatment to a more molecular-based treatment," says Professor Daniel Haber, senior author from Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Centre. "The next steps for this collaborative project are to evaluate some of the key findings using tumour samples and test new candidate therapeutic strategies in clinical trials so we can hopefully improve the way we treat cancer patients. We are continuing our screening effort, in particular using drug combinations to discover innovative and better therapeutic options."

President Barack Obama speaks at Hankuk University in Seoul, South Korea, March 26, 2012. Obama discussed his Prague agenda to stop the spread of nuclear weapons and seek the peace and security of a world without them.
By msnbc.com staff and news services
Updated 10:20 p.m. ET: President Barack Obama said on Monday the United States can further reduce its nuclear weapons stockpile while maintaining its strategic deterrent.
Obama, speaking at a university in Seoul ahead of global nuclear security summit, said he plans to raise the issue of arms control with Russian President-elect Vladimir Putin when they meet in May.
The president urged North Korean leaders to "have the courage to pursue peace" and warned the country that provocation will not lead to rewards, but to condemnation by the international community. "Those days are over. This is the choice before you," he told students in Seoul.
Obama: North Korean rocket test would isolate regime
Obama also said that time was running out to resolve Iran's nuclear standoff with the west.
Tehran says its nuclear program is purely peaceful, but Israel and Western nations believe it is moving towards a nuclear bomb that could change the regional balance of power.
"Once again, there is the possibility of a diplomatic resolution that gives Iran access to peaceful nuclear energy while addressing the concerns of the international community," Obama told students in Seoul.
"Today, I'll meet with the leaders of Russia and China as we work to achieve a resolution in which Iran fulfills its obligations."
President Obama visited the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea and said China should rein in its communist neighbor. NBC's Kristen Welker reports.

A house extension is actually one of the best investments you can make. The beauty of a new loft conversion, a renovated garage or basement or even a newly built conservatory cannot be matched by anything. The satisfaction it brings you is unparalleled. The beauty of your home can be a testament to your happiness, contentment and success. Even if you do not have a lot of money, a beautiful home is enough for you to feel successful.
But do not think that you are only spending money on hiring builders and having your home converted. Adding space and having a loft conversion is actually rewarding. It can increase the value of your home. Should you decide to sell it in the future, you will not have a hard time doing so. A lot of buyers prefer houses with room extensions. They will go the extra mile to acquire. Homes with house extensions in Bristol can be easily sold in the market at a very reasonable price so you can actually make profit out of it.
Before hiring Bristol builders, find out what the best remodelling idea is suitable for your home first. A highly recommended extension is a conservatory. This can also be called a sun room. A conservatory is an extra room in the house surrounded with lots of windows. This is going to be one of the breeziest and sunniest places in the house. It can be turned into an extra living room, a study room, a recreation room or even an inspiration room. If you are fond of going on vacations, this is also a good investment. You do not have to go far to get much needed rest and relaxation. You can simply enjoy your staycation in your conservatory.
Another wonderful home extensions idea is a loft conversion. ?Your loft can be turned into an extra bedroom for guests. For those people with a growing family, you can easily transform this to a room that can be used by your additional family member. Parents can also turn their loft into a recreation room for their kids. Put your entertainment centre here or turn this into a study area. Kids will definitely appreciate the privacy that this room can give them.
Home remodelling does not always have to mean adding extra rooms or extension rooms. You can hire Bristol builders just to have your existing rooms re made or re fitted. This is actually a good idea if you are on a limited budget. Hire builders to transform your ordinary bathroom into a luxurious one. Never underestimate a beautiful bathroom. It can actually increase your comfort and get rid of stress. To modern day people, this is definitely priceless.
For kitchen lovers, have your kitchen refitted. Builders can change countertops, tiles and cabinet. Get rid of your old rickety overhead cabinets and have the whole kitchen transformed by opting for more reliable wooden cabinets. You can also have your very own kitchen island installed for your cooking comfort.
Garages, these days, are not only used to store cars. Many people also use this as an extra storage room. But do not just stop there. Do not scatter your home decorating equipment in the garage. Turn this into a beautiful living space as well. Have the builder create division in the garage so you have space for your car and ample space for seating areas. With home interior design and decoration, you can turn this into a two in one room.
If you like organizing parties or throwing parties in your home, a conservatory turned into a kitchen should be a wonderful house extension or home remodelling idea. Now that Junior dos Santos has captured the UFC heavyweight title, don't expect him to give it up without a fight.
The heavy-handed Brazilian knocked out former champ Cain Velasquez in just over a minute this past November on the UFC's inaugural FOX show to capture the belt, but has been sidelined since rehabbing a knee injury. Dos Santos is now on deck to attempt his first title defense against former Strikeforce heavyweight kingpin Alistair Overeem.
The two are to meet in the main event of the all-heavyweight UFC 146 fight card this May and dos Santos is confident that the title won't be changing hands on that night.
"My dream was to become the champion," dos Santos said. "The minute Dana strapped that belt around my waist, my dream got bigger. I'm not here to be a one or two-defense champion; I'm here to stay. On May 26, there's going to be a heavyweight striking war and someone is getting knocked out."
UFC 146 is expected to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will feature five high-level heavyweight bouts on the main card.

Every season, there are more newcomers taking on the challenge of learning backyard grilling, and always with some memorable mistakes that will be talked about for years. If only there was a way for them to learn the basics of using barbecue grill charcoal, perhaps their initial adventure would turn out better, with a lot more meat being saved in the process. In the spirit of this wish, we offer some basic tips that any cook should know. Setting up the grill To start, always make sure that your grill is completely clean and ready to use, with no foreign bits or ash left inside of it, and that includes the metal wire grill itself. Nothing will make food taste awful than leftover grease or burnt bits adhering to the fresh meat while cooking. Next, make sure that you use only enough barbecue grill charcoal that the manufacturer of your grill recommends. Too much will cause uneven heating of the grilling area, and may cause more smoke than necessary. Once you have your barbecue grill charcoal lit, wait for at least 30 to 45 minutes before starting to grill anything. This will give you time to prepare the meat, and give the coals a chance to really distribute the heat around the inside of the grill. When grilling, use tongs as opposed to forks for turning meat, and you will avoid unnecessary splashing of grease over the fire. Vegetables and fish cook best in foil packets, placed on the grill.

It?s essential to warm up your muscles before diving into your workout routine. You can easily get blood flowing and prepare your body for your workout session by warming up. Taking just a few minutes to warm up can save you weeks of recuperation from injury.
Take good care to eat a healthy diet, that includes healthy fats, if you want to build muscle. These types of fats will actually lubricate your joints, as well as raise the amount of testosterone in your body. This could mean having healthy muscle gain all throughout your body. The key is to steer clear of saturated fats, because they are not good for your heart.
Try going for a farmer?s walk! Walk as far as you can while holding medium weight dumbbells down at your sides. Maintain tense abs and use a lengthy stride. Once you have reached a point where you can not walk anymore, take a small ninety second break, then start your walking again. Repeat this activity a few times every day.
Pre-exhaust is one method used to help you with muscles that might not quite be strong enough. As an example, you may find that your bicep muscles fatigue earlier than your lats when doing rows. When you complete isolation exercises you help fix this, do things like straight-arm pulldowns which don?t necessarily concentrate on your biceps to complete. Your lats will then be pre-exhausted, but when you do your rows, your biceps should not limit you anymore.
Get rid of alcohol from your system and lifestyle if you are really trying to build muscles. You should put extreme limits on your intake or cut it completely. The occasional glass of wine will not ruin your plan, but focus on moderation. Alcohol, is not only unhealthy for you, it also affects your muscle building ability.
Don?t neglect carbs when trying to build muscle. Carbs give your body the fuel it needs to do the exercise you have to do every day. People who engage in intensive daily workouts should eat 2 to 3 grams of carbohydrates per pound of weight. For example, if you weight 180 pounds, you need to eat 360 to 540 grams of carbohydrates a day.
Do not work out for more than an hour. If your body is engaged for more than sixty minutes, then it will start to release cortisol. Cortisol may block testosterone, wasting effort you put toward building your muscle. For best results, keep your workouts under sixty minutes so that you don?t produce excessive amounts of cortisol.
As you now know, meeting your goals depends upon your willingness to listen to your body?s needs. The small amount of time it takes to educate yourself on how to build muscle will be repaid by the reduction in time it takes to meet your goals. This advice was given so that you can reach your goals.

Doing homeschooling is more important than planning homeschooling.
I am a bit of a planner by nature. I love to plan. Implementing.... not so much. But it is the real doing of homeschooling that is the necessary part. You can plan all day long, but if you do not actually do the work, it would not matter. It reminds me of the Parable of the Two Sons.
Matthew 21: 28-32 The Parable of the Two Sons
"What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work today in the vineyard. '
" 'I will not, ' he answered, but later he changed his mind and went.
"Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, 'I will, sir, ' but he did not go.
"Which of the two did what his father wanted? "
"The first, " they answered.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.
For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. There are some homeschoolers who feel called by God to homeschool, and are dragged kicking and screaming into this lifestyle screaming like the first son, "Noooooooo!!! " If they do the work of homeschooling, they will be successful.
Other parents are called to homeschooling and respond by saying, "Sure! No problem! " They may plan and plan, invest in curriculum, not to mention pay for supplemental experiences.
But if they get too distracted by their active lives, and do not actually perform the work of homeschooling, then they are not truly carrying out what the Father wanted them to do. Any time you plan and plan, but then never actually do the work, then you have missed the mark.
Doing is more necessary than planning. It is not easier and it is not more fun - at least not for me! But it is certainly the most important part.
Keep in mind, when you feel stressed with the "doing" part, you could be attempting too much. In the event you see that you are in this situation, here are a few things you can do.
Cut back a little. Lower your sights. Look for duplication and reduce it Find the subjects that your students really delight in and focus your attention there. They will likely learn more if they are excited about the topic Cut back on the non-school activities. Look at your appointment calendar and start pruning. Frequently the path to homeschooling success is by doing less, rather than more. Try these recommendations and see if you can improve your success.
