Job Description:

Notre Dame of Maryland University, a liberal arts institution in Baltimore is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track Psychology faculty position in the Department of Psychology to begin August 2013. The psychology program delivers the following curricula (1) general psychology consistent with the APA guidelines for undergraduate psychology; (2) behavioral neuroscience; and (3) industrial/organizational psychology. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, service, and scholarship. Faculty teach courses that are offered on a variety of schedules including day, evening, and Saturdays.

Position will involve service to the department, to the School of the Arts and Sciences, to the University, and to the community. Faculty members are expected to produce scholarship and to develop opportunities for undergraduate research. A portion of time of this position will involve coordinating the practicum experience.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) in Psychology and valid licensed required at the time of application. Valid license in any state acceptable with the expectation to become licensed in Maryland within one year post-appointment. Experience in and commitment to undergraduate education. Demonstration of scholarship in Psychology required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in teaching any of the following undergraduate areas: introduction to psychology, social psychology, quantitative research methods, qualitative research methods, psychometrics (tests and measurements), theories and techniques of counseling, abnormal psychology, history and systems, theories of personality, positive psychology, multicultural psychology, and psychology practicum. Experience with online teaching is desirable.
